The ProstateKEY test provides advanced diagnostic insights for chronic prostatic conditions, including chronic bacterial prostatitis and other persistent prostate infections. It is particularly valuable in culture-negative cases, where standard methods may fail to identify slow-growing, fastidious, or previously undetected pathogens, as well as in patients with prior antibiotic exposure that can suppress bacterial growth in conventional cultures.
Rapid sequencing using NGS technology, powered by advanced bioinformatics, enables broad microbial identification, detecting over 50,000 bacterial and fungal targets in a single sample. qPCR enables rapid detection of bacterial load and targeted pathogen identification, improving diagnostic sensitivity. The test also screens for 17 antibiotic resistance genes, supporting optimized antimicrobial therapy selection.
Validated for semen samples, the test includes a sample collection kit and delivers results within 3–5 days, providing clinicians with comprehensive data to guide precise and effective treatment decisions for chronic prostate infections.
