PATIENT INFORMATION

Your KEY-Test Journey

The MicroGenDX KEY-Test decodes the DNA of microbes that may be the cause of recurrent, chronic, or hard-to-detect infections when symptoms persist or keep coming back, when standard cultures are not informative, or when testing is needed during or after antibiotics. The report enables your doctor to choose a targeted treatment option based on the pathogens and antibiotic resistance genes detected

Detects more than 50'000 bacteria and fungi

Next Generation DNA Sequencing test to diagnose infections that may be hard-to-detect or hidden in biofilms

Targeted treatment support

The report enables your doctor to choose a therapy for the specific microbes identified in your sample.

Designed for chronic and recurrent infections

When symptoms persist or keep coming back.
When traditional detection (cultures) is not informative.

Precise, high-quality laboratory analysis

Testing is performed through an ISO 15189 accredited laboratory process in Europe.

HOW IT WORKS

The journey in 3 steps

1

Sample Collection

Order the kit through your doctor (or directly).
Collect your sample with our kit in the doctor’s office or at home and ship the sample to our lab.

2

Sample Analysis

Our lab isolates the microbial DNA from your sample. Our advanced DNA assays identify the genetic footprint of microbes as well as their antibiotic resistance genes.

3

Lab Report

Access your report through the online portal.
The report guides your doctor to define the treatment.

Example MicroGenDX report
What your report will include?
  • List of bacteria and/or fungi detected in your sample; antibiotic resistance genes
  • Quantification of relative abundance of microbes and bacterial load
  • Notes for your doctor on antimicrobial options and resistance genes (where available)
