Respiratory Tract Infections (RTIs), including Chronic and Culture-Negative, Respiratory Infections

The RespiKEY test delivers critical diagnostic insights for lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs), including chronic and culture-negative respiratory infections. RespiKEY enables the detection of bacterial and fungal pathogens, supporting clinicians in diagnosing complex respiratory infections where traditional culture methods may fail. By providing highly accurate molecular diagnostics, RespiKEY supports clinicians in making informed treatment decisions for respiratory infections, including those in critically ill and immunocompromised patients.

Powered by advanced bioinformatics, NGS technology identifies over 50,000 microbial targets, allowing for comprehensive pathogen detection. Meanwhile, qPCR provides rapid bacterial load quantification and targeted pathogen identification, ensuring clinically relevant and actionable results to guide patient management.

Validated for bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), respiratory swabs, sputum, endotracheal aspirates (ETA), and pleural fluid, RespiKEY includes a sample collection kit and delivers results within 3–5 days.

Interpreting our lab report

Each test includes a detailed laboratory report, providing clinicians with clear, structured data for fast decision-making. These reports include:

  • • List of bacteria and fungi detected in the sample(s)

  • • Identified antibiotic resistance genes

  • • Antimicrobials to consideration for treatment
