The SinusKEY test provides advanced diagnostic insights for sinusitis, upper respiratory tract infections, and ear infections. By detecting bacterial and fungal pathogens, including those commonly associated with chronic and recurrent infections, this test is particularly valuable in cases where standard cultures fail due to prior antibiotic use, slow-growing organisms, or polymicrobial infections.

Rapid sequencing using NGS technology, powered by advanced bioinformatics, enables broad microbial identification, detecting over 50,000 bacterial and fungal targets in a single sample. qPCR enables rapid detection of bacterial load and targeted pathogen identification, improving diagnostic sensitivity. The test also screens for 17 antibiotic resistance genes, supporting optimized antimicrobial therapy selection.

Validated for nasal swab, sinus aspirate, and ear swab samples, the test includes a sample collection kit and delivers results within 3–5 days, providing clinicians with critical data to guide effective treatment decisions for chronic and complex ENT infections.

Interpreting our lab report

Each test includes a detailed laboratory report, providing clinicians with clear, structured data for fast decision-making. These reports include:

  • • List of bacteria and fungi detected in the sample(s)

  • • Identified antibiotic resistance genes

  • • Antimicrobials to consideration for treatment
